lovely, wonderful weekend.
Jul. 22nd, 2007 09:37 pmexcept for the screaming shoulder, of course. but i rested it as much as i could propped up with pillows on jack's couch, which helped a teeny bit. please please please let physical therapy help, because i'm not sure how much more of this pain i can really deal with!
saturday was such a beautiful day, so jack and i ventured out on a little mission: to get all the ingredients to make some hula hoops. jack, being the resourceful awesomeness that he is, found a hole-in-the-wall pipe and tubing supply place near us, and they happened to have 100 feet of the exact tubing we needed (3/4 inch, 160 PSI). w00t! we snapped up a roll, to the amusement of the owner when he discovered what it was for, and loaded it in jack's car as our first accomplishment. the rest of the afternoon was spent searching for supplies to decorate the hoops with -- we hit craft stores, fabric stores, home depot... and walked away with several bags of items that should work well for a first go. so this week, i have a couple of vacation days planned, and will use them to fudge my way through making my first hoop. whee!
today was family stuff -- breakfast with my mom, a poolside BBQ with his family to celebrate his mom's birthday. i ate my first sugar in 3 weeks (a cupcake) and it's not sitting real well in my tummy. bleh. looking forward to 5pm wednesday, which should be the near-end of several projects and the beginning of a much-needed long weekend. woo-freakin'-hoo!
