boutell is the best vegetarian ever.

because after we hit 2 different bars looking for quizzo or bar bingo, and came up short... and i was starving at midnight because i hadn't eaten dinner and had 2 beers in me... he accompanied me to pat's for my first-ever south philly cheesesteak!



mmmm! meaty! (yes, i got a "wiz wit", if you must know.) i was wondering where all the crowds were, after all it was midnight and a pat's steak is perfect after-drinkin' food (to my boston peeps: the primal urges you get when you smell pat's or geno's or jim's is the same thing you get when you're on lansdowne after going clubbing and you walk by the sausage guy's cart. sweet baby jesus.) then it hit me: jenn, you are out bar-hopping on a TUESDAY NIGHT. THIS IS NOT SATURDAY. um, oops. obviously i don't get out much.

and i had to take a photo of geno's across the street... 'cause even though they're doofuses, their signage is mind-boggling.



oh... and here i am almost 10 hours later, and i'm still full. that was a hell of a cheesesteak.

i have a ton of work to do today (bleh, happy vacation), but tonight is SALSA DANCING!!!! la la laaaaaa!

i am in a great mood today!

and to try to offset all of the bitching i've done over the past couple of months, i'm going to post the things that are making me happy today:

* angus let me sleep in until 9am. (this is HUGE... what a good boy!)

* there was no line at the supermarket checkout, even though it's the day before thanksgiving and the store was packed.

* kemidra said i have a nice smile. awwwwww! {squish}

* i have been desperate for new work clothes, but broke as hell and nothing ever fits anyway... but this morning at tar-zhay, everything i tried on fit, or was too big (and i have no explanation for that, especially after the gonzo cheesesteak last night). ANNNNND... for $150, i got a pair of black knee-high boots, a brown cashmere sweater, 2 camisoles, a black turtleneck, a funky blazer AND a brushed-gold necklace! hello, winter wardrobe!

* i am sitting here with a grande peppermint mocha from starbucks. mmmmmm.

* the house is almost decorated, and looks awesome.

* i met with an attorney yesterday, and things look hopeful for the whole tree root fiasco.

* my 2 new netflix movies came today, so i have something to watch tomorrow: "paris is burning" and "roger & me".

* salsa dancing tonight!!!!!
