nothin' to catch up on.
Oct. 18th, 2006 09:16 pmthis week has been a bear... been at work every day from 7am til late. last night i actually got home at 8pm (super early), and what did i do to relax? watched 4 more episodes of "lost". note to self: do NOT watch several episodes of that show at night, alone, when you have to get up at 5am for work. i barely slept, and when i did my dreams were all kinds of freaky.
the work craziness *should* start slowing a bit in another 2 weeks, and i'm so looking forward to it. angus is ready to stage a walkout from all the therapeutic hugs i'm making him suffer through.
despite the wacky schedule, things at work are going okay. today, several trainees (individually) pulled me aside and complimented me on my teaching style, and said they were getting a lot out of my class. that's a big fat YAY. another biggie today: at one point, my boss's boss came into the classroom and sat off to the side while i coached a trainee through a discussion on a certain scientific topic... at lunch, i e-mailed him to ask for feedback on my coaching (i've never received peer or manager feedback on my classroom work)... later this afternoon, i got an e-mail from him saying i was dead on, and that he wished he could have stayed longer to watch me in action. that is so HUGE.
in other happy news: SEX DWARF ON FRIDAY!!!! w00t!!! i can't wait to post the pix, because this halloween costume is going ROCK HARDCORE. anyone who's going, i'm warning you now... someone is going to have to drag me home at the end of the night, because i'm either going to be a) asleep in the middle of the dance floor or b) drunk off my patootie. either way, i will embarrass you all. so be ready.
