ooooooooo...

we have a major thundrestorm starting to roll through, and the wind is unbelievable. (i can't wait to see how many branches i'll be picking up tomorrow, considering the number of trees on my property.) the power keeps going on and off, and angus is unnerved beyond belief. poor little one. since all i have for entertainment is my laptop, i guess i'll sit here in the dark and post all the pix i've been hanging on to (now that i have internet access at home and was able to upload them).

(no subject)

the power has been off for 4 hours.

4 hours in july with no air conditioning.

guess how sweaty i am right now, and how little i can sleep. ugh.

ETA: 6:43am, and the power is still not on. worst nights' sleep i've had in quite a while, and a cold shower in the dark to cap it off. AND, as i look outside, i see a big fat downed tree branch on my car. *sigh*.

ETA2: as i cleared the branch away, i discovered another gift from the heavens on my car: a yellowjacket nest. a big yellowjacket nest in the middle of my trunk, covered in angry buzzing things. argh. most of them flew away as i drove to work, but the nest is still there (i think it's stuck on with pine tar from the tree it wa sin) and there are a few remaining soldiers who are just a little pissed off. nice.
