sunday morning recap
Dec. 4th, 2005 09:36 amgood things that happened yesterday:
1. got my cable FINALLY! whee!
2. hung out with dad a little bit, and put up my huge framed photo of davis square.
3. saw a guy in home depot who looked familiar (he was an employee), i realized after he walked by that i knew him from my country dancing days! he was the first person i ever saw do west coast swing, like 10 years ago, and he and his girlfriend/dance partner at the time gave me 2 or 3 private lessons to show me how the dance goes.
4. watched part of the "project runway" marathon on bravo... the new season starts THIS WEDNESDAY!!!! how psyched am i????
5. discovered someone on yahoo who is totally into karaoke... he told me that there's actually a huge karaoke night right down the street from me. so now i have something to do if i'm bored (or, i should say, actually awake) on a friday night.
6. had drinks with the yahoo guy i'd been chatting with. he was really nice. no romantic sparks, but we had a lot in common (he owns almost every book by my favorite author, douglas coupland... most people don't even know who he IS) and stayed at the bar talking for 4 hours. we'll probably do coffee or brunch or something next weekend.
so, it was a good day. today on the schedule is laundry, lots of it... catch up on work before i go in tomorrow... and force myself to go dancing tonight in manayunk. perhaps in there i can sneak in a little bit of shopping, i'm desperate for a new skirt or pair of pants for work. and dare i bring angus to the mall for "pet night with santa"? ohhhhhhh, it's SO tempting...
