so much for my big saturday night out. i drove to ardmore, and kept driving up and down lancaster avenue, looking for #2... after 3 trips back and forth, i found it, with a big sign in the window saying "milkboy cafe -- COMING SOON". *beats head against wall* now, WHY would a magazine ("main line today", the doofuses) write an article about how great a coffeehouse IS, when it's not even OPEN yet? how can they rave about the coffee like they did? did the owner set up the coffee machine in the empty space a month ago, just for them? or perhaps brew them a cup in his apartment, and say, "this is what we'll be serving there"? ugh.

so it was 7:30 on a saturday night, my cool plans were shot to hell, and i really wanted coffee. the only other place that i could think of was the gryphon, and considering that i met the psycho ex there, i didn't want to take the chance of a surprise meeting to ruin my night any more. so i went to the only other place i knew... starbucks. ugh. i did my xmas cards in a crappy starbucks, and cursed the coffee gods.

(by the way, i'll jump on the bandwagon here... since everyone's doing it... if any of you would like a xmas card from me this year, e-mail me thru LJ and i'll gladly send one along.) :)

i was home by 9:30, and bored, so i fell back into an old, old habit and hit the yahoo personals. i don't really want to get into a major relationship right now (nor do i have the time), but heck, it helped me socially when i first moved to boston... i got to know some of the cool areas of the city, good restaurants, fun places to see a band. right now, all my philly friends are married, except for one person who i can only take in very small doses (and she is almost criminally frugal, so she'd never go out for a whole evening unless i paid)... so i figured what the heck, if i want to hang out with single people, i gotta go where the single people are. *shrug*
