random sunday evening stuff
Sep. 4th, 2005 09:16 pmwasted the day today. i got a bit of work done early in the morning, and then spent the afternoon just doing random crap... tv, nap, surfing the net. pathetic.
i did get out of the house for a bit, i went to "the garment district", a local vintage clothing store that has a room in it filled with clothes for $1 a pound. of course the clothes are crap, but i figured maybe i could find a bag of bearable things for $1, punk them up a bit, and sell them on ebay. when i got there, though, i took a look around... it was several poor families sitting on the floor, surrounded by piles of clothes... they were there for themselves, not to make a few quick bucks. and i just couldn't do it, i turned around and went home. i couldn't take clothing out of the hands of people who truly needed them.
back is still ouchy. darnit. i'm going to pop some more advil before bed, and hope that it's all gone when i wake up... i'd like to go dancing tomorrow night if i can.
