vacation

i took a vacation day today... i just needed a decadent-feelin' mid-week "me day". i was gonna go out dancing last night, and stay out until the very end and then sleep in today... but i got sucked into a "how to sell stuff on ebay" book and stayed in the whole evening, going through all my old jewelry and other belongings to see what i could get rid of. (it had to be done anyway... might as well make a few bucks.)

so today is a lot of housework and errands in the morning, with a yummy sushi lunch planned and perhaps some shopping in the afternoon (i'm desperate for a good pair of black pants). oh, and my new shag print is waiting for me at the post office! yay!

yay vacation day!

today has just been glorious. nothing big goin' on, just little bits of happiness that add up to a whole big mess of it. *grin*

* slept in (well, until 7:30... which is late for me)
* gave myself a little spa shower, using every buffy, scrubby product i own
* went to the mall in search of a pair of black pants that fit... found 'em in the first store i went into, and bought 2 pairs 'cause they were majorly on sale (yay!) and i'd wear them out if i only bought one
* bought a pair of awesome jeans in ann taylor loft, with the help of one of local swing dancer gals who happens to work there
* found an adorable black top on sale, that i'm going to decorate with swarovski crystals for the summer hummer dance weekend (before and after pix to come)
* had a yummy sushi lunch
* picked up my new shag print (it's fabulous!)
* shipped back a pair of boots i bought last year that didn't fit... that'll be $85 back in my pocket
* browsed in our local farmer's market
* napped with the kitties
* walked back into the square for a small dish of cake batter ice cream, ate it outside while i read my book

up next: oprah at 4, more readin', perhaps one of my netflix documentaries tonight. jeez, why can't every day be a vacation day?

i just submitted my first ever item on eBay. and i'm nervous! there were just so many things to decide on... photos, layout, description, shipping info... i'm just terrified i did something wrong and i'll be screwed somehow. ack.

oh... it's a pair of cheetah-print ballroom dance shoes, never worn, size 3 (5.5 street size). maybe i should have checked with y'all to see if anyone on here wanted them... *grin*
