lonely day.
Jul. 23rd, 2004 04:40 pmso, i had to stay home today... the folks at the hospital said i shouldn't be driving, since i might still have some of the sedative in my system... and since most of my job is driving all day,i had to take yet another day off. i was pretty spent -- i took a nap just a few hours after i woke up, and had to lie down this afternoon for a bit after taking a short walk. but i'm hoping i can go dancing, even for an hour, tonight... 'cause i have to get out of this apartment (i'm going stir crazy... plus the ex needs space to pack).
got out for a little bit today. i went to my storage unit, and got all my empty pamphlet boxes to give to the ex for his move. then i walked into the square, and went to my favorite "thingy store", Pluto... they have all sorts of fun little things for gifts and whatnot. i bought myself a bottle of bubble bath for when i'm finally alone here, and a cool "somerville" t-shirt. got some lemon sorbet (i always crave lemons when i'm not feeling well) at my favorite ice cream place, and then hit up the video store for some weekend movies -- Monster, Shattered Glass, and a foreign film that looked really hot called Une Liaison D'Amour (An Affair of Love).
and, oh... i got THE SHOES today!!!! i got another e-mail from michelle k yesterday, and she sent them at no charge to me, because she was so happy that i was ga-ga over them. they came today via FedEx, and they are stunning. (i'll post a picture, once i figure out how to do it). the funny thing is, they are about 1/2 size too big... so last year, when i was hunting them down and could only find a 5 1/2, i could have bought the damn things on the spot. *chortle* but i don't care, i'm going to take them to the cobbler and have him fix them so they fit. i swear, i'm going to wear these shoes until they pry them off my cold, dead feet.
the leopard-print dance shoes have to go back... which is a shame because they are so damn SEXY! but the heel is a spiky 3" heel, which is impossible for me to dance in. i tried to wear them today, and i was tottering all over the apartment. i'll break my neck if i try dancing in them. *sigh* so, back online to try to find another sexy-bitch dance shoe in a smaller heel. dammit.
