decorating ideas...

so... the ex is moving out within the next few weeks. and i've been thinking about the apartment, because it'll be all mine and i'd like it to look that way. for a couple of years now, i've wanted a new sofa, because my current one is scratched to ribbons from when one of my cats was little. and for some reason, call me retro, but i have been obsessed with sectional sofas.

i started doing a search online, and found some really, really cool stuff...

la-z-boy has a new collection designed by todd oldham that's awesome. i happen to like this fabric the best... plus you can configure the pieces in all different ways, depending on the layout of the room.

then there's funkysofa.com... the sectional in the link is my DREAM sofa, however, boston apartments are stupid, and by stupid i mean the rooms are too small to fit a sofa that wide. *heavy sigh*.

if anyone knows other companies that make good, stylish sofas, let me know.

another friday night...

with another DVD of "sex and the city". *grin* in a few weeks i'll have burned through the whole show, i'm going to need a new friday night pasttime!

i saw the funkiest thing this evening on the drive home... this guy was walking his little fat black dog, crossing the street... and i realized it wasn't a dog, it was a PIG! i did a triple-take to see if it was true. but there it was, this happy little fat black pig, about the size of a football, skittering across the street on a leash. it boosted my mood for the rest of the night.
