more kitty issues

i can't believe it. last night, at 7pm, i found myself rushing the OTHER kitty (the older one) to the ER. after around $2500 in vet bills last year, mostly for the younger one, and almost $1000 last week alone for the younger one, she decides to jump into the mix to make life interesting. this time? an intestinal blockage. ick. after 3 hours, x-rays, fluids, an enema, and the vet having to literally reach inside and pull stuff out (owwwww), i got my $400 bill and took her home. she seems much better this morning though... somehow she escaped from the bathroom at 7am (she was supposed to be in there in case there was a mess), and she jumped up on the bed and started smooching my face like crazy. awww. i looked in the bathroom and had to laugh -- she had put all these wads of toilet paper in the litterbox! it looked like she'd tried to wipe after going. it was hysterical.

needless to say, i didn't make it to the gym this morning. i was up several times last night to check in on the kitty and barely got any sleep. wonder if i can sleep through my morning teleconference? hmmmmm. *grin*

*sigh*

very hard to concentrate on my studying today. things are not going well with the b.f., and it makes me so sad. there's so much distance between us now... he's having issues with things that have been present in our relationship for 2 years... but all of a sudden, now that we're living together, he's getting himself all worked up over them. the problem is, he admitted that i'm not really doing anything wrong. which means that i basically have to hang on for the ride and hope he resolves this stuff within himself. i'm hoping he'll get some counseling and figure out what's going on... otherwise, we're doomed.

i want to cry, but for some reason i can't. i just want this hard ball out of my stomach.

good news of the day: i'm down another pound. woo.
