meeeeeehhhhhhh!!!!!!!
Feb. 10th, 2006 05:04 pmmy ears haven't popped since i got off my flight yesterday afternoon. it's been a painful 24 hours, to say the least. early this afternoon, it got so bad i was almost in tears... so i went to my company's larger campus down the street, to see one of the doctors in the on-site medical center. i told him what was going on, and he took a look in my right ear and announced, "you burst your eardrum". owowOUCHowwwwwwICK. so i had to go to an ENT specialist a few miles away (yes, all while i'm supposed to be dealing with another work crisis), so he could fix me before this long weekend ('cause that would majorly suck to hurt this bad for 2 more days).
the good news is, it's not a ruptured eardrum. and even better news is that i have no nerve damage (they were afraid i'd have some hearing loss because the pressure in my eardrum is so bad). now i just have to get rid of this massive ow-y-ness and deflate the 'drums.
the bummer is, tonight i'm supposed to see mark erelli perform at a local coffeehouse, and then have birthday drinkies with a girlfriend in the city. and now i might have to miss both because of my stupid-ass ears. grrrrrrrr.

Thank goodness for the good-news parts, though. Hopefully you can still go out and have fun tonight!
