catch-up...

swingchickiewow, i haven't written in a while. how do the days get away from me???
i have to say, this was a really good week. one of those weeks where things just seem to fall into place. most of the doctors and staff were actually nice to me on my sales calls, which is a shocker... plus the weather here has been GORGEOUS (70 degrees and such), so being out in the sunshine has made up for being covered in road salt and snow all winter. plus it was my 1st week of weight watchers (i posted it on![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
living_well), and although i certainly didn't subsist on carrot sticks all week, i ate healthier than usual, so i'm proud of myself.
the amazing thing is, i feel really GOOD. it's unnerving, 'cause i'm not used to feeling this way! my stomach hasn't been bothering me, i have more energy, i'm in a good mood... must be a combination of the spring weather and eating better. but it's glorious.
so, a cute boy talked to me last night. i went out dancing for the first time in weeks, 'cause i needed to exercise more in light of the weight watchers stuff... and it was the funniest thing... a guy who i've had a mini-crush on for like 5 years (i might have mentioned him before on here) asked me to dance. that might not sound like a big whoop... but the swing dancing scene is very small, and everyone knows everyone here, yet somehow this guy and i have never had a conversation in 5 years. i've never really been sure he even knows i exist. so he asked me to dance, we danced a couple of songs, and then ended up having a really pleasant conversation for like 15 minutes or so. turns out he's a doctor (eek, could be a customer some day) and is also from PA originally. too funny. and he invited me to a potluck brunch he's having for a bunch of the swing dancers next weekend! woot!
now, let me throw in here that i'm not looking to flirt with/date this guy. i'm not a jerk. i'm still loyal to my b.f. (even told him about the b.f. in conversation)... it was just cool to have a conversation with this person after so many years. he's just such a neat guy... every time you see him, he's smiling and laughing, and just really genuinely sweet. he lights up the room when he's around... he's one of the most positive people i've come across here in boston. and yes, he's adorable... really good-looking and short to boot... but i repeat, i would NEVER do anything remotely inappropriate unless the b.f. and i were no more. and the b.f. has been so sweet of late, i'm kind of hopeful that we will work out...
