swingchickie | catch-up stuff...

except for my "poo rant" yesterday, i realized i haven't written in almost a week! let's see what's been going on...

well, the dance weekend last weekend was a lot of fun. took a bunch of west coast swing classes, danced a bit, and met some really nice people. got my massage on saturday, which was SO worth it... every dance weekend, from now on, i'm getting a massage. it totally rocked, and relaxed me for the whole weekend.

after that, i got inspired to start going dancing more... so i went on tuesday night to a west coast swing dance a few miles from my apartment. took the 3 lessons before the dance, which were fantastic... literally, within 3 hours, i could feel my dancing change. after 7 years of partner dancing, a good chunk of my bad dance habits were gone in one night. amazing. met a lot of nice people there, and got asked to dance a lot, which made me feel really good. (i've been a bit down lately... i'm blowing up like a balloon, and nothing fits anymore.) i think that dance (and the lessons) willbe my regular tuesday night from now on.

work is nuts. lots of changes that we are wading through, lots of personal time spent on the computer at night fixing problems. ick. hopefully it'll all be resolved by next week.

funny work story though: on tuesday, i was sitting in my car at lunch, doing computer work... and this tenny little old man opened my passenger door and got in my car! i guess he thought i was his wife or whatever waiting for him. and he was half deaf, so he didn't hear me going, "excuse me... hi, pardon me..." as he hobbled in. it was priceless.
