monday morning
Dec. 5th, 2005 05:33 am*weep* can't believe it's monday already. what did you guys do with my weekend??? where'd you put it??? 'cause that was WAY too fast to be called a weekend. ugh.
yesterday was more chores and errands. i did six loads of laundry in the morning, ran errands around town, unpacked a couple more boxes. and i really really needed a few pieces of work clothing, so i hit the mall, which wasn't bad at all. i seriously expected a massive rush of people... instead, i got a spot not too far from the entrance, and didn't wait in line anywhere i went. cool. i got a couple of skirts and an awesome glass bead necklace, all on sale, so that'll hold me for a little bit longer. the one bummer of the day is that i decided to try out the sushi place down the street, and it's closed on sundays *weep*... so i have nowhere for "soosh" for part of each weekend.
the yahoo thing is pissing me off, and i'm thinking of bailing. the guys i'm encountering online are falling into 2 categories: 1. the ones who don't even bother to send an e-mail, they hit the button with a pre-written message on it like "hi, you're cute" and expect that i'm going to look past the laziness and write back... and 2. the ones who have massive bushy full beards or awful 1980s pornstar moustaches. and there are a lot of those in philly, i'm discovering. ugh. there's one guy who wrote to me, who claims to be 38... i swear to god, he has to be at LEAST 10 years older than that. with a pornstar moustache. *sigh*. but i've met a few friendly people... the guy i met saturday, my karaoke friend who seems like a hoot, and i've contacted a guy who's into salsa dancing so i can check into more of the dance scene here.
i find it incredibly amusing though, that while i'm not in the right emotional place to have a serious relationship right now, my hormones are running completely out of control. dammit. seriously, the toilet is broken in my hall bathroom, and if the maintenance guy who comes over this week is even slightly better looking than ernest borgnine, i might not be able to hold myself back.
that's all for now, kids. type at you soon, assuming i have a second to breathe in the next week. wish me luck.

Ok, trimmed goatee, no bushy beard...
*checks mirror*
I just have to be a few steps up from Mr. Borgnine...
*checks schedule*
Oh, look, I have the entire week off!
So, what's this about needing some work done around the place? *wiggling eyebrows* ;)
Hang in there, I'm sure things will get better once you get climatized to the pace :)
