settling in...

swingchickieit's amazing how much more grounded i feel already, just because i'm in my own apartment. the last few weeks were SO stressful... work was insanely busy, and i was living out of a suitcase. but even though i'm still living out of a suitcase, at least the suitcase is among all my other stuff in my new place, and so i'm not as stressed during the day. pretty cool.
i'm thinking about going dancing tonight. i still don't have tv, not until the cable guy comes friday morning... so it's either go dancing or shop for apartment stuff. the shopping thing is tempting... if i don't do it tonight, i'll have to do it at the beginning of the xmas rush, which will be hell. but there are only a couple of dance nights in this area, and i figure the night before a holiday should be a good one, so i think i'm going to throw on the bleyers and go meet some new people.
i am so psyched about this long weekend. tomorrow i'm going to finish unpacking and hang up most of my pictures... then it's off to mom's at 2 for dinner... then home in the evening to watch "a charlie brown xmas" on DVD and decorate my fake tree. *grin* friday the cable guy comes first thing in the morning, then it's off to a nearby foo-foo spa for a massage and facial (my back is killing me from the move, and my skin is a mess from stress). saturday is laundry, shopping, general catch-up stuff... and then sunday is manis and pedis with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

Date: 2005-11-25 12:54 am (UTC)I've had that vintage girl icon for a bit now. I found the image in a LJ community dedicated to vintage porno/cheesecake pictures, like from the 1950s and earlier. That stuff goes waaaaaaay back.
And on another note, you are now approximately 2 hours away from NYC instead of 4 hours. So if you're ever in the neighborhood, I hope you're not against hanging out with lil ole me some time!
