excuses, excuses...
Dec. 3rd, 2003 04:55 pmhave not been to the gym in 2 days.
yesterday was the bizarro freakout squall that shut down most of boston... got home with just enough to change and go to my evening meeting (so no home workout)... today i was too tired to get up at 5am (i didn't get home and to bed until 11pm last night). i'll probably do some crunches and leg lifts before dinner, but between now and friday morning i am out straight with work. i'm hoping friday i can get my arse in gear and go in the morning, since i have the day off!
eating-wise, it's been what i expected. some good moments and bad moments. breakfast each day has been a low-carb muffin with peanut butter and a sugar-free yogurt. lunch yesterday was 1/2 of a turkey sandwich, a cookie (bad), and a diet rootbeer (good). when i came home, i ate a hummus sandwich, so that my appetite would be down for the meeting i mentioned in my last post (the one where i always pig out). when i got to the meeting, i was a good girl and just made a salad with low-fat dressing and a few ham slices (and a diet soda). i sat at the outskirts of the group, so i would be far from the table of cookies. but as the meeting went into 3 hours, and got more stressful, i walked into the circle 4 TIMES for a cookie! i had 4 italian holiday cookies! ack. and of course, the scale this morning reflected it -- no weight lost. today lunch was boston market. i was proud, though, that i didn't order my usual sides: macaroni and cheese, creamed spinach, and swet potato casserole. instead i had squash, green beans, and mashed potatoes (didn't eat them all). drank water. came home today and had another atkins muffin with peanut butter, and some tea.
if there's any saving grace here, it's that i'm in the throes of my monthly chocolate cravings... and i haven't given in. :) plus i am in major crunch mode with work -- my manager rides with me next week, plus i have to run a teleconference on monday, and i have several reports due this weekend as well. i am going to be a good girl and not go nuts with the stress eating!!!
