once again, i opened one of my monthly cheesy magazines today (In Style), and there is a several-page article about maria bello, a girl i was friendly with in college. every couple of months there's something about her in some magazine... a photo of her looking fab on a red carpet somewhere, stories about her next movie, etc. etc.

i get so awfully jealous when i read these things. it's horrible, i know. i'm truly happy for her, she's a really nice girl and super-smart and talented and gorgeous as hell. we're both a product of our choices... after graduation, she discovered she liked acting, and took classes and moved to NY and auditioned her butt off and got a great break. for me, after graduation i acted professionally, decided i hated actors and how "the business" treats people, and got the hell out. so i totally know that she deserves her success, because she fought through all the crap and made the career she wanted.

but deep down inside me, that little green-eyed monster is waving happily.

*sigh*.
