MY FIRST TATTOO!!!!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!



whoa. i'm still processing the fact that, at almost 35 years old, i am now the proud owner of some rockin' ink. the cat is from a painting by one of my favorite artists, Shag... besides the fact that i think it looks cool, there's a lot of personal symbolism in it that i won't bore anyone with here. :) i'll just say that it didn't hurt too bad (it really didn't), and that erick from redemption tattoo was super-nice and professional, and very patient with me being a newbie. oh, and that i loooove it. *grin*

and oh... the redness is 'cause the photo was taken just seconds after it was done. and you probably know that, and i'm being too literal 'cause i haven't had my coffee yet. :)

Hah never! I'm the biggest chicken ever when it comes to needles, and the thought of them stabbing my skin will make me sick and pass out. Then again, if I'm completely passed out, the process shouldn't be so bad, right? Heheh!

is that a copy of a kitty in one of the paintings, or a picture inspired by shag's style? i'm currently combing his website in curiosity.

hee hee... actually, erick (my tattoo guy) took the photo for me, i brought my camera to the shop... i wanted a photo right when it was done, in case afterwards it became bloody or started to scab or peel (which it might do as it heals, i'm not looking forward to that).

it's actually a modified kitty, good catch... the kitty is from the painting "green onions", but i had him modify the face slightly to be more like the kitty's face in "the will" (which i don't think is on the website anymore). the retro sparklies i added 'cause, i dunno, i like retro sparklies. *grin*

LOL... While I'm not against the idea of you pulling your pants down for a picture *ahem* that's not quite what I was suggesting [yes it was no it wasn't yes it was no it wasn't :P]. Somthing along the lines of what I took for mine is what I meant - just enough to get some perspective and size :)

And thank you for the stories behind it in your next post. Very cool. Of course, mine and the reason behind it should be rather obvious... LOL :)

Really? It's supposed to be painful there? I didn't find it bad at all. High tolerance for pain or I'm just used to the poke of needles, perhaps.

I'm hoping/planning on getting "additions" to my network, perhaps even this summer, if I can afford it and can find the time to get it done :)

hey aileen! *waves* glad you like it. :) the one you did is really cool, you should totally look into getting it inked. i love mine... i keep looking at it all day (which is hard to do since i have to stand backwards in the mirror and crane my neck. *grin*)
