good and bad

* i have been eating my ass off (or, i should say ON) from stress. i need to weigh myself to get a reality check, because i have a feeling that in the last week, i've gained back 6 or 7 of the 10 pounds i've lost so far.
* the apartment is blazing hot, despite the A/C (okay, it's a stupid 5000 BTU because my building is old and we can't have anything more powerful).
* STILL no word on the promotion, i have a feeling i didn't get it. which is fine... just TELL me i didn't get it, don't leave me wondering if i'm going to be moving in a week. *sigh*.
* the apartment is a pit. i cleaned a bit, but it's been too hot to do much of anything. i haven't even showered today, 'cause... what's the point? i'm just gonna be gross again.
* D and i still haven't had a real conversation about what will happen when i move. i hate trying to drag things out of people.
current goodness:
* monkey is still feisty and perky, and eating like a pig. yay chemo!
* i just heard thunder... that means things will cool down here for a bit! thank god.
* no promotion = getting to stay in boston a while longer. which makes me happy. :)
* i have been feeding my current hotdog addiction quite well with the help of george forman. it doesn't produce the really burnt, crispy grilled hotdog that i crave every summer... but it at least puts the little char lines on 'em, which is a start.
