swingchickiefunky pasta/scampi night last night was awesome. the scampi recipe was fantastic (thanks again to the food network website), and the pasta didn't lose any of its colors as it cooked...
actually, the pasta by itself, surprisingly, tasted great. it had a good amount of chew to it (the noodles were thick), and there was a teeny bit of warmth there because one of the colors was done with cayenne pepper. really, really neat.
sadly, i think that will be my last pasta dinner for a while... this afternoon oprah is doing an episode where she's starting a weight-loss "boot camp", and i'm giving it a go. which, i'm sure, means no funky pasta at all. darnit.
