lesson learned...
May. 2nd, 2005 05:53 amyou actually CAN eat TOO MUCH bacon. i'd bought this awesome bacon that i hadn't had in years for breakfast yesterday... a slab of thick-cut, applewood-smoked, pepper-crusted bacon from the local market. it's $10 for a pound of it, but it's sooooo good. i fried up the whole thing, thinking i'd use the leftovers for sandwiches and stuff, and ended up eating like 6 slices (which is probably about 12 slices of regular bacon, now that i think about it). needless to say, i was sick all afternoon... tho i'm not sure if it was from eating all that bacon, or the smokehouse smell that got into EVERYTHING in my apartment. my stomach didn't settle until about 8pm. blecch.
oh, and i also discovered: putting extra bourbon in a bourbon pecan pie does not make it better.
