swingchickie | *yawn*...

ANOTHER cat emergency room visit last night. i swear, i should get some sort of bulk rate with these guys. the older kitty was still blocked up despite all of monday night's medical efforts, and at 1am started yowling in pain and vomiting again. i put her in the bathroom with the litterbox and tried to make it through the night... i even tried sleeping IN THE TUB from 1-2:30am so i could keep an eye on her in case she started getting worse... but to no avail. she was in so much pain, i couldn't wait for her vet to open at 7am... so off to the ER, 1/2 hour away, at 2:30am. they're holding her overnight and might have to do surgery. i got back to bed at 4am and desperately tried to get some quality sleep before work. no such luck, i'm groggy as hell.

now i know what it's like to have kids.

dinner last night was not a smashing success, thanks to the talents of my stomach. i'm not sure if it's the stress of the relationship issues, or the leftover egg foo young i ate yesterday... but i was nauseous all night. we walked into the restaurant, and the smell of the food almost sent me careening into the ladies' room. i tried valiantly to eat something, but 2 bites and i was done. just drank water and tried to hold on until the b.f. was finished eating. he hurried up for me, and we took a cab home instead of the subway. i owe him big time... i'm thinking i'll make a really good vegetarian dinner tonight and surprise him.

plans are shaping up for friday. my friends and i might go do karaoke. wahoo!
