swingchickiewow, am i tired. i went last night with my girlfriend T to see cake in concert, after apps and martinis at Spire downtown (and a sighting of joey fatone of N*SYNC in the adjoining hotel). the concert was fantastic musically, and having 3rd row seats (wahoo!) certainly didn't hurt... but god, the lead singer is a bitter, bitter man with major control issues! literally, he'd have us sing part of a song, and then berate a section of the audience for not being loud enough, or doing it wrong, or whatever. not just, "lemme hear you sing louder!!!" but, like, several minutes of "why won't you sing louder? i'm sorry if this song isn't good enough for you", etc. etc. it was painful. one guy in the front row actually screamed "F-YOU!!!" at him and stormed out of the venue. another guy left early as well, and gave the lead singer the finger before he walked out. eek. the music more than made up for it, though... they sounded amazing, just like their albums with nothing fancy, just a lot of rocking out.
it's almost the end of the week. whew. my new furniture comes tomorrow, so i'm totally psyched... i need to find out what the delivery window is, so i can try to schedule a massage. my back is a big ouch.
