Oct. 9th, 2009 11:51 amthank goodness i have a boss who allows us to work from home occasionally. i love that i can throw in a load of laundry right before a teleconference, and do that telecon in my sweats. i have a crock of taco soup going that smells sooooo good ... and the house is -- dare i say it? -- actually peaceful with no kitties hissing or freaking out! angus is snoring in his cat condo, duck is hanging out next to me on the couch. life is good.
despite the possible ringworm thing, i let duck stay out of his quarantine room last night. it was the first time he hasn't slept in that room since i adopted him. it didn't go too badly... there was some chasing and hissing when i first went to bed, and again around 5am (which i think was more of a ploy to get me out of bed to feed them)... but other than that there were several hours of quiet, uninterrupted sleep. at one point i did wake up to find duck nestled snugly into my armpit, purring and making biscuits on my arm... my heart just about exploded. and a couple of times today he's been in my lap, or snorgled up next to me while i'm working. i hope he stays this snuggly once he's older.
