mother nature...
Sep. 5th, 2004 06:49 am...must not have taken her psych meds yesterday. i swear, it was 80 degrees yesterday, i was sweating my butt off, and around 4pm, it became fall sweatshirt weather. like, literally, it went from summer to completely feeling like fall in about one hour. and it still feels like fall this morning. completely unnerving.
nothing really new to report. oh, wait -- i do have a rant from yesterday. i was at the pharmacy, standing in line for a prescription... and there's a sign about 15 feet away from the counter that says "please wait here to ensure patient privacy". so i stand there in the line, and at the counter is a college-aged girl and a middle-aged woman, who i'm presuming is her mother. the woman is right next to the girl, leaning on the counter and looking at all the prescription information the pharmacist is discussing with her. the girl pays for her prescription and walks away... and the middle-aged woman, it turns out, is just the next person in line! not only is it rude to ignore the sign (or dopey not to see it), but it's SO inappropriate to listen in on someone's personal medical conversation! so the pharmacist says to the woman, "ma'am, the next time there's someone here at the counter, i need you to wait back there for me to call you (gestures to where i'm standing)." and the woman looks her right in the eye and says, "i was."
::sigh:: if you're going to lie, don't do it after we've all seen you. i hate people.
