i am soooo sore this morning. i went to aerobics yesterday, it was the first time i've been in my gym in about 6 months (and my 1st aerobics class in years). the class was fantastic, it was a hip-hop aerobics class they'd just started and had a bunch of cool dance moves. i picked the moves up easily, but it was a lot of hopping and stuff which i'm paying for today. it also sucked that i came out of the gym, red-faced and drenched wirth sweat, and got walloped with the 95-degree heat index outside. ugh. but i'm SO looking forward to next week's class! yay!

i also decided yesterday to take up a new activity... knitting. don't laugh. i figure it's a bit creative, it's something i can do if i'm watching tv (i still haven't turned it on, thankyouverymuch), and i'll have something to show for it when i'm done. i went to my local craft store and bought a how-to book, knitting needles, and some pretty pale green yarn to do a winter scarf. almost immediately, people were stopping me as they saw the knitting needles sticking out of my bag... "oh, you knit??? so do i!!!!" it's like i joined a club. so i explained how i was a beginner and was trying to keep from zoning in front of the tv... i explained my tv turn-off experiment, which people thought was cool. but i had no idea, as i ran my other errands, that i'd meet so many other knitters. who knew.

NB, single men: you apparently could meet a lot of hot single knitting chicks if you 'happen to leave' a knitting needle or two hanging out of your attaché case.

That's the best one I've heard since going through the ATM waste can, picking the slip with the highest balance, keeping it in your wallet and casually writing your phone number on the back at a club. "Hey, I don't have a piece of paper. Wait...hang on..."
