i took my first hooping class yesterday. i'd taken private lessons in LA before, but this was the first time i'd learned with a group. it was really fun, and i'm sore this morning which is a good thing. and the teacher couldn't have been nicer, she recognized me from tribe and gave me a hug, and we spent some time after class talking about teaching. the classes are in center city, so it's been hard for me to get to them (last night's class took my entire evening because of the drive to and fro)... i'm thinking i should take them more often. learning from videos or trial and error is OK, but having someone watch you and say "you're posture's slumping" keeps you from learning things badly.

i'm off to dallas today... do. not. want. i haven't been on a plane since my puerto rico vacation last april... the anxiety started days ago just thinking about being on that flight. sigh.
