my spare bedroom is about 75% done... just need a futon delivered and some pictures and curtains hung, and the transformation will be complete. it already looks so different, it's shocking... i can't wait to post the before and after pix! i'm really glad i finally saved up to make it all happen; it means there's another room in my house that's actually usable now! i have to say though, that jack (and my painter) did most of the work -- i picked out the paint colors, and i did all the shopping for the furniture and accessories... but jack spent a good chunk of today putting furniture together and wiring a lamp and installing new air vents. i just stood there and handed him pliers and cleaned up.

i'm really itching for another random day off. the one i did a couple of months ago was so much fun, and i could use another "me day" where i'm not working on the house or doing chores in my free time. need to check my schedule to see what i have open...
