swingchickieladies on my friend's list: i'm thinking about going to rock camp this year! who wants to spend a weekend in new york with me this summer and channel their inner rock star? all the info is here, it looks like a total blast. yes, it's $500, but the proceeds go to the willie mae rock camp for girls, which is a great program.
the thing i like best is that they don't care if you have any musical experience... they'll take anyone from "i have a band and am awesome" to "i hear there's an instrument called a 'drum', can i learn it ?"
there are 2 weekend sessions (july and august), and i'm open for either one. if you have a preference and want to share a hotel room, let me know. i'm going to send in my application in the next few days, because it's going to fill up quick...

in totally unrelated anything, am i missing something with the whole white castle "sliders" burger thing? i bought some at the supermarket last night, and i got a blecch tummy as soon as i ate them. are they called "sliders" because they slide right out of you?
