* mac users: how the hell do i uninstall something, if there is no "uninstall" function in the program? i'm trying to get stupid SecondLife off my computer, and can't figure out how.

* sunday night, i bought 3 months of advertising on hooping.org for my website. monday morning, the hooping.org computer crashed and the site is frozen until philo (the guy who runs the site) can save up the cash for a new computer. so... no ad. which means no halloween hula hoops sold this week. grrrrrr.

For most applications, you can just literally drag the application itself (from your applications folder) to the trash. For the ones that really need to be uninstalled (i.e. MS Office), they either have an uninstaller in their application folder or on the disk that they were installed from.

I just did a quick search for SecondLife, and it looks like the type of application you can just drag to the trash.

Oh, you're on a Mac!

[Rereads the comments on your "what should I redo my web site with" post]

Oh good, [livejournal.com profile] dhpdesign had a good answer for you. You could also run KompoZer on it, but the program he recommended is probably a whole lot nicer.

Yup. SL on OS X is installed by dragging it to the Applications folder. So you can uninstall it by dragging it to the trash.

If you want to make sure all remmnents are gone, go to your Home directory (in the Finder, type "shift-command-H") and then go into Library and then Application Support. Drag the Second Life folder to the trash (mine was about 115 MB). That should get rid of ALL Second Life traces.

Is that a new developement, or is it your home machine that's a Mac? I know that I was playing with your work lappy, but I kinda figured that either that's what you were using, or you were a 'pc chica'.
