not that i thought it'd be easy... but sheesh! i went for about an hour and a half this morning before i finally collapsed... i was drenched in sweat, and was tiring out to the point where i couldn't keep the hoop going for long. i had a few good moments though, i got to the point where i was keeping the hoop up for 1-2 minutes, even when changing my stance or walking around a bit. yay me!

no massive bruises on my waist, just a small one on my forearm from trying some halos (spinning the hoop over your head and transferring it from hand to hand). a few tmes, the hoop slipped down my wrist and spun around my forearm, so now there's a lovely purply-brown mark from the friction. oh, and i have blisters on my toes, 'cause i did it all barefoot on my hardwood floor. oops.

i'm sure i'll be sore tomorrow, i can feel some muscle tightening already. especially in my neck and shoulders, i'm guessing i was tensing up a lot instead of focusing my energy on my lower body. better pop some advil before bed tonight. but it feels good... after just one session, i feel much more in tune with my body. i'm really looking forward to seeing how far i can go!

big storm rolling through tonight. eek. i'm guessing i'm going to have a yard full of downed branches in the morning. i rented a bunch of flicks, let's see how long the electricity holds...
