new year's weekend recap

swingchickiefinally, a few minutes to recap new year's weekend! it was a great time, and there are a ton of pix, so i'm putting them behind an lj-cut:
thursday: QVC studios tour with mom. fun, despite the world's worst tour guide (whiny voice, unprofessional dress, and so dumb she actually thought there were 48 states).
friday: errands and the arrival of J and his gal M from boston. yay!
saturday: gave J and M a tour of philly. first we did cheesesteaks at pat's, then off to the art museum to run up the steps a'la rocky. we wandered around the museum grounds for a bit, then home to nap before heading out to karaoke. karaoke was SUPPOSED to be at moriarty's, but because i am an idiot i didn't call ahead and see if it was changed due to the holiday weekend. it was... so![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kemidra, notshakespeare and the rest of us headed to "westy's", a total smoky townie bar in another part of the city. it was... colorful. but a fun time. :)

this, um, "colorful" regular at the bar, who was wearing chaps and a dirty-saying t-shirt that i shall not describe here... he also did magic tricks, and made balloon animals for all the gals at our table.

sunday, J, M and i went to the king of prussia mall to bum around for the afternoon... then back home for a quick nap (we're so old), sushi dinner in the city, andjeremym's new year's eve bash.

and during the yankee swap, the happiest dog in the world snuggled in with his peeps.
