vacation ROCKS.

i need to be on vacation all the time, that's all there is to it. i feel no pressure to get things done, and no guilt if i want to slack. wheeeeee! last night i decided against going out, and instead sat home under a big fat quilt with a bag of popcorn and a stack of magazines, and fell asleep at 10:30pm and it was GLORIOUS.

got to see swingdoc and her man and little one yesterday afternoon, which was a blast. i don't see them nearly enough, and i got a pang of sadness at one point when i realized that they'll be in another city in less than 9 months. waaaaaah!

ooh, and i can't believe i forgot to post about this... katehaney and occhi_cinesi sent me the coolest giftie the other day! (you guys shouldn't have!!!) i came home to a big box on my front step, and couldn't figure out why because i hadn't ordered anything online... inside was a CD, 2 big fluffy towels and a baby einstein video. the video really threw me off... i thought, "wait, did kate order stuff for herself to arrive while she was visiting last week???" and then i realized that the baby einstein video is the one with all the baby animals that i LOVED when teddy was watching it during their visit!!! heeeeeee! so now i can look at cute baby animals during my time off this week. i love it! *hug*

today: yard work and laundry and more magazines. tonight, i'm thinking movie and karaoke at my local townie bar. YAY VACATION!!!!

Indeed, you were missed - I got there close to midnight after a lovely time at Brasils with kemidra. But all was good, because I bumped into notshakespeare and the Carmina Burana Armada and those people sing like a sleighful of drunken angels.
