okay, we're going to play a game.

remember i posted about those 5 huge bags of branches and shrub clippings i filled over the weekend? well, trash day is today, so yesterday i went out to my front lawn to get the bags and put them by the curb... and they were already gone. someone had come on to my front lawn, to the tree i had all the bags leaning against, and took them.

so, let's take guesses as to who came on to my property to take 5 bags of yard waste, and what they did with them.

in other (non-creepy) news, the painting is almost done and it looks AMAZING. i can't wait to post photos, but i'm going to wait until all my artwork and stuff is hung this weekend. but literally, last night a co-worker dropped by my house after work on the way to the company picnic, and she and i just stood in the living room with our mouths open. it's exactly what i wanted, and turned out better than i'd hoped. it's official, i am never leaving this house EVER.

i'm guessing the leaf bag taker is someone who figured you were sending them to the trash and took them to use as mulch in his/her yard/garden. Lots of people have wood chippers for just that sort of thing.

Does it bother you that someone took the branches off of your property? I would feel violated, but that's just me. I don't think anything is a free-for-all until it is sitting on the curb.

i feel incredibly violated. seriously, i'm freaked out by it, that someone would have the nerve to take something (even if it's "trash") off the middle of my my lawn and do whatever with it. i mean, how ballsy.

Ugh, that was me again up there (Ms. Anonymous). Ok, I sometimes wonder if I'm in the norm of feeling violated. Like that woman who "knows" your house. I'd be like, "let's be friends (maybe), but stay off my property unless you ask me first!"

As for Mugsy's Mensa question, please do tell! I almost decided to take the test, but didn't want to waste the money in case I didn't pass. I took their little practice test and did very well, but it seemed pretty easy. The real test can't be that easy!

actually, i didn't even take the test to get in, i submitted my SAT scores. if you go on the mensa website, there's a list of acceptable tests and scores that would qualify you. :)

i've proctored a couple of mensa test sessions, and it's actually a fun test. kind of like the logic section of the SAT.

If you're uncomfortable with her being on your property, tell her....but if you think about it, it's a pretty nice arrangement and no harm done.
