[Poll #765277]

that's about the shade of blue the wall will be. the white rectangle on the left is the opening to the stairway downstairs. the rectangle on the right is a tall white paper floor lamp.

also, comments telling me that all 3 ideas suck, and giving other advice, are welcomed.

Stencil design = easiest to execute, easiest to hide mistakes

For the love of god, no quotes painted on the wall.

The wall above my bed is also high and huge. I hung a sled on it -- I found an old Flexible Flyer and mounted it to the wall.

oh, that sounds cool!

i saw the quote thing in an online catalog... it's a place that makes decals of words or sayings, and you stick them on. it looked pretty cool online. *chuckle*

I like the stencil design. Not entirely based on ease of changing one's mind, either. (:

I say remove the round thing from the table, move the pictures over it and down level with the table. Actually, my design-loving boyfriend says that and I agree. :)

I like the stencil design. I guess I can't figure out how to take the poll. Maybe because I wasn't logged in to LG at the time, or because I didn't have much time to figure it out.

I also like the idea of hanging a big "unexpected" object (like the sled idea, but something different). I've seen big decorative grates at flea markets, but I don't think they are in the spirit of the style of your house. Ooooo, I love decorating. LUCKY YOU!

wait... so, take the clock away (it's leaning against the wall), and put the pix there instead? then what about all that space above it? i'm not sure i'm pictuing it right...

Just move the column of pics over and down some, still hanging on the wall. Depending on the scale of the room, you could adjust the height of the column to look right.

Hi. I don't know you, but I vote for the stencil-y design. However, as I have no artistic skill, you ought take that with a few grains of salt.
