wow. i love bloomingdale's so much, i can't stand it. i feel guilty walking in the door, like i don't belong there 'cause i'm not rolling in cash... but once i'm in there, god, it's so much fun. such beautiful things -- kate spade bags, manolo blahnik shoes, every kind of snazzy makeup line and skin cream (including la prairie skin care -- $100 a jar!). i doscovered recently that i have developed very expensive taste (when i have a budget that's more suited to wal-mart)... if all my clothes could be sigrid olsen, dana buchman, and eileen fisher, i'd be in heaven. those lines are so fabulous, all well-tailored and crisp and simple. i just need a huge salary, and the body of a 22-year-old to pull it off.

bought my 1st sigrid olsen piece today... a pale aqua cotton suit jacket. very summery and funky. the only way i could afford it was that it was on sale -- $70, down from like $150 or so. i'm so psyched. problem was, after i bought it, i started seriously contemplating all these other great clothes. like a fantastic long sleek suit jacket made from this gorgeous cream quilted fabric... i was like, "well it's $500, but it's an investment piece." as if anything white can last more than a few wearings before getting trashed. i ran from there before my credit card exploded. the designer addiction begins...

i have so much work to do this afternoon and evening, and i don't wanna do it. have to rally.
