for almost a week now, i have been fall-down tired constantly. not just sleepy, but full-on, i-just-had-a-steak-dinner-and-half-bottle-of-wine exhausted. i want to nap all the time, whether it's in a meeting mid-day or an hour after i get up in the morning. the last 2 nights, i've slept for more than 9 hours, and i'm not refreshed. ugh.

maybe i just need to sleep the weekend away. seriously, if it means i take 30 naps, i'm going to rest when i need to. somehow i'll fit in a showing of "capote" and karaoke on saturday night... but the rest of the time, if my body needs it, is sleeeeeeep.

If you feel really run down and sleep doesn't seem to be fixing it, you could be a little anemic. You're at the perfect age for it, and it's fairly common. Take an OTC iron supplement for a few days and see if that doesn't whip you into shape. Especially if you've modified your diet a little lately (even if you take a multivitamin every day) you might not be getting all the stuff you need.

Also, Emergen-C packets (the raspberry ones, especially) are awesome and give me a little lift when I'm dragging. You can get these at Trader Joe's for cheap, or any health food/vitamin store.

Feel better soon!

I've had phases of that, usually due to not sleeping well for some reason. One thing that I've found really helps me is to take a hot shower right before bed. It really relaxes me and I seem to fall asleep quickly and stay there.

Other things you could consider are if you've been exercising enough and if this might be clinical depression. Both of these have made me sluggish for long periods, and improving them helped me get out of the fog.

*hug*

> Karaoke, Saturday

FYI, I'll be at Moriarty's. That's a fun room.

actually, tomorrow morning at my LA weight loss weigh-in they're doing a blood draw... so they'll be able to tell me. excellent. i'm thinking that part of it is also that i've gone WAY down on carbs, and my body needs to adjust? we'll see...

i've heard great things about emergen-C, i need to check it out.

i've actually been more active this week than in the last several months... my teammate (who's had the same crazy schedule as me) said that he's feeling it a bit too... he thinks it's probably that we had an adrenaline surge going for 3 months, and now that our schedules are normal our bodies are crashing. ugh.

The adrenaline crash theory sounds like a good explanation. I don't know how you kept it up for so long. Careful not to get sick now that the adrenaline is gone.
