all is happy in the house now.
Nov. 28th, 2008 09:19 pmjack and i were up for a good portion of the other night, checking on angus under the bed to make sure there were no kitty heart attacks or bleeding paws. (my comforter needs some serious dry-cleaning, it's covered with smears of blood from the torn claw.) by morning he was calmer, but still on edge... but no bleeding and no heart issues, so we breathed a sigh of relief.
did snax at my mom's place and dinner at jack's mom's... it's amazing how different our two families are. at my mom's, there were 5 of us and we had cheese and crackers and watched a movie (by the way -- the opening scene of "before the devil knows you're dead" is not really comfortable to watch with one's parents)... at jack's mom's place, there were about 25 people, including 8 very spirited children. i was exhausted by the time we left, after 5 hours of listening to piano-banging and screaming and having rubber lizards thrown at me. whew.
was only up 1 pound this morning, which i consider a big success. of course in one evening i managed to go through all of my extra weekly points and then some, but 6 hours of housework this afternoon put me back in the black points-wise. :)
