i need a nap.

the new job continues to go well, but WOW am i exhausted. i just need to curl up under a blanket with my kitty and my remote and fall asleep on the couch.

i am still madly in love with that french onion soup mac & cheese. today at lunch i was eating a healthy kashi frozen dinner thing, and my brain was like, "noooooo!!!! where's the mac and cheese???? what are you doing to me???" i'm sure i'll be sick of it after a few days, but in the meantime i am thoroughly enjoying its numminess.

i got yet ANOTHER awesome e-mail from a recent hoop purchaser! it's amazing -- in all the time i've had the website up and running, i've never received feedback on any of the hoops i've sold... now in one week i get e-mails from TWO customers, telling me they loved their hoops. (this particular hoop was pretty cool, she asked for the psychedelic design with glitter tape, so it was blacklight glowy AND sparkly.) i've been giddy all day.

i can't remember if i posted this before... but i'm bummed about my superhooper LED hoop. i'm glad i bought it on sale, because it's not very bright. i turned out the lights last night to play with it, and the glow-in-the-dark hoop i made myself shone brigher than the battery-powered LED hoop i paid $100 for. i'm not kidding. grrrrrrrrr.

for the ghetto-bootied gals like me...

run, don't walk, to Avenue. and buy up every pair of jeans you can get your hands on. because they will rock your world so hardcore.

i've avoided going into avenue because i'm stupid. i've felt like, if i can buy jeans in a "regular" store, then it means i am not big-tushied enough to have to shop in places like Avenue or Torrid or Lane Bryant. i actually did go into lane bryant a while back, and i was swimming in all of their clothes, which peeved me to no end -- i was too big for a larger-size pair of jeans from the gap or macy's, but too small for a small-size pair at lane bryant. grrrrrr.

saturday afternoon, there happened to be an avenue next to the guitar center that jack wanted to shop in. so out of curiosity, i wandered in. 15 minutes later, i walked out with the most comfortable, flattering jeans i have ever bought in my life. so flattering and comfortable, in fact, that when i passed another avenue on the way to dance class tonight, i stopped in and bought 3 more pairs (!!!!!!) in different washes and styles. i'm addicted. why are these jeans so amazing? let's see: 1. they are a little bit stretchy, so you're not fighting your way into them. 2. almost all of their jeans are boot-cut or wide-leg, so they balance out big hips. 3. the back is high enough that you don't get "panty peek". and 4. their "petite" length ones are truly petite (out of my 4 pairs, i only need to get 2 hemmed).

no lie, i came home tonight and threw out all but 2 of the jeans i've been wearing. i will never go back to those skin-tight, butt-crack-showing, tapered-at-the-ankle jeans that i thought were right for me before, because i could squeeze into them... i'm sold on these beauties that make me look 15 pounds thinner and much more tailored. and i don't care where i got them -- i'll take a stylish 14 at the "pasta-tushy store" (as jack affectionately calls it) to an awful-looking 16 from macy's... the pride comes from looking good, not what store name is on the receipt.
