more things i love about the W hotel in chicago:

* the 33rd-floor public bathrooms have beaded curtains instead of doors (front doors... the stalls are perfectly private!)

* the 1st-floor ladies room has a mirrored wall in between the sinks... it's actually a 2-way mirror so that people on the other side can see you fixing your lipstick (i know some people are probably creeped out by this, i think it's a hoot)

* one of the walls in the lobby is actually an LCD wall that shows movie and video clips

* my wakeup call on my last day: "sorry to interrupt your dreams, jennifer... would you like us to call you again in a few minutes? no? then shall we place a breakfast order for you?"

* they are just a few blocks from my favorite chocolatier in the UNIVERSE, vosges haut-chocolat

* "wired" magazine in my room

* the "pillow menu" -- your choice of 4 different pillow types delivered to your room

*my 5-day stay there gave me about a billion starwood points

despite all the awesomeness, though, it's good to be home. i'm glad to be back with my snuggly man and my snuggly kitty and a fridge full of fresh fruits and veggies (i ate so poorly on this trip... thisisntadiet.com is going to get one heck of an update)>
