well, cancel it. and then watch "clash of the choirs" on NBC. it is so. much. fun. it's like "american idol" meets "sister act" -- 5 music stars who each put together a choir from people in their hometowns, and the choirs are competing this week to win $1 million to give to charity.
the great thing is, these are real people. yes, they can sing, some REALLY well. but they are all shapes and sizes, all ages, and they're up on stage singing their hearts out and having a blast. and their stories are so touching -- one girl who auditioned for kelly rowland's choir survived hurricane katrina, and the only thing she saved was her iPod... kelly let her in the choir, and she broke down in tears, and i became a total mess.
all i have to say is: philadelphia gospel choir COACHED BY PATTI LABELLE. holy CRAP.
seriously, watch this show... it's only on this week (the winning choir will be announced on friday). it's a blast.
