boo, hiss!

getting up at 7 to work the day after xmas is stinky. especially when you've been off for almost a week. but i do need to go in and work on a project that's due in a couple of weeks... the good news is that after today, i'm off again until january 2. whee!

xmas yesterday was nice and low-key. got an awesome coffee table book of shag art from the boy (and thx to everyone on my filtered list who beat some sense into me about my gift anxiety, he e-mailed me last night to say thanks so i feel better now)... and a bunch of cool stuff for the house (picture frames, kitchen stuff, etc.) from the family. ooh, and a gold sweater from mom. gifts aside, it was just a nice day to veg out and just hang and watch movies and tv with the people i care about. (oh, and dance around the kitchen in my pj's to the reverend horton heat's xmas album... that rocks so hardcore!)

philly peeps: anything going on this week? i'm thinking salsa tomorrow night, and i'd like to bring the boston peeps (who are coming down for new year's) to karaoke on saturday night. anyone in? and then of course there's shopping for my hawt new year's eve outfit. but anything else (movies, random hang-y out-y stuff) is pretty open...
