it's 1:45pm and i'm ready for a nap.
Oct. 8th, 2006 02:01 pmsomeone please tell me again why i forced myself to get up at 6:30 on a sunday morning??? oh yeah, it was for a breakfast blind date with a really handsome medical researcher. hee! this was the first time i'd ever responded to a craigslist personals ad... most of the guys on there are really creepy. but this one had spunk -- he wrote an ad saying that he was going to a wedding in october, and was looking for someone he could bring who'd want to dance her butt off with him. i was thiiisclose to answering, but he was gorgeous and i figured he had a million responses... until i saw the ad re-posted about a week later. so i just had to write, and basically say "wtf dude, didn't a gaggle of women throw themselves at you the first time?" turns out 3 women wrote, and they were all wacko. *chuckle*
so, that's how i found myself at a diner this morning, having breakfast with this guy, who is super-smart and funny and energetic and not socially stunted and is just as handsome in person. we got along great, and yes, he wants me to come with the wedding with him. la la laaaaaaa!!!
of course, this meant one thing: shopping trip to king of prussia!!!! w00t! i bought some accessories for the outfit i'm going to wear... and then had a fun makeover in sephora done by a boy who was wearing the most gorgeous makeup in the place (note to all the gals out there: if you're getting a makeover, get it done by a person whose makeup you like. and if that makeup is being worn by a guy, even BETTER). now begins the countdown to the wedding full of people i don't know, with a guy i just met... whee!
