my wittle head still hurts. i actually felt okay this morning, i could hear better and didn't feel as sick... 3 hours later i'm back to where i was yesterday afternoon. just a big ouch. think i'm gonna go lie down for, like, a week...
i did go to see mark erelli last night. i had taken a decongentant and was feeling better, so i figured i'd go catch his first set and then head into the city for my friend's b-day drinks thingie. what i didn't realize is that mark was one of three people playing... so by the time his set was done (and he ROCKED MY WORLD, btw), it was rather late. plus the guy after him went on immediately, and i was sitting at a table right against the stage... which meant that getting up and leaving would have been rude (not to mention awkward, as a crowd of people seated in chairs behind me would have had to move their chairs for me to make my way to the door)... so i stayed 'til the end, despite the massive head/earache returning. but it was a good night, despite the pain... i got to say hi to mark after the gig (he was like, "oh, you sent me the e-mail a couple of weeks ago!" which made me all flustered and fangirly), and see a couple of singer/songwriters i would have never checked out otherwise. i liked the coffeehouse, too... i might have to start going there on some random weekends just to hang, it was very comfy and cool.
oh, and i closed my first eharmony match last night. we had been communicating a bit, we were already at our "must haves and can't stands" phase... for the eharmony-less folks out there, this is where you get a massive list of traits in a s.o., and you have to pick just a handful of traits that they "must have" and traits that you "can't stand". so this guy, out of the humongous list, picks "i can't stand a person who's overweight". *sigh*. he could have picked "i can't stand a person who has bad personal hygiene", or "i can't stand a person who's addicted to drugs" (yes those are choices), but no, he picks that he hates women who aren't skinny. *buzzer* thank you for playing. i hope he finds a skinny heroin addict... i'm sure she'll knock his socks off.
off to bed to try to sleep through my exploding eardrums... perhaps when i wake up, the THUNDERSNOW will be falling! yay! *boom, rumble*
