brrrrr!

wow, it is COLD and windy outside. seriously, the wind is rattling my windows and the snow is whipping around in the dark. this would be a perfect night to stay inside with someone, snuggle under a blanket on the couch, and have a nice, long, slow makeout session. hmmmmm. but, i have no-one to smooch, and i have a cold anyway... so i did the very next best thing and went to a wine tasting party at swingdoc's place. i was going to stay home because of the cold (mine, not the temperature), but she told me it was cool... and if a doctor tells you it's okay, it's okay. :)

i'm so glad i went, everyone there was super nice and there was homemade bruschetta and tiramisu *drool* and i tried some interesting wines (the theme was "chianti", which i've never tried before). oh, and i got a brush-up lesson on texas hold'em poker, and got to finally meet her awesome kitty and hold little baby colin (soooooo cute), and see partytom for the first time in years! yay!

but now i'm back home nursing my cold, and listening to the wind outside. i'm thinking it's time for bed... got a lot of work ahead of me tomorrow, and i should be rested...

i'm sick and bored...

...started going through my CD collection, which i haven't really looked at in months. I mean, i unpacked them all and put them away when i moved recently... but i haven't really looked at my CDs in forever. there were several CDs that really stood out... the ones that, just looking at the cover, bring back a flood of memories. so, since i have a whole day on my hands, and i'm feeling nostalgic (must be the advil cold & sinus), i'm doing a music meme.
