another fabulous vacation morning...
Dec. 29th, 2005 07:19 am...and i don't care that i'm working form my hotel room. i worked yesterday from 8-11am, and it didn't ruin my day a bit. i am so psyched to be here, to be a tourist in the city that i lived in for 8 years, that sacrificing a few hours isn't a big whoop.
yesterday i had a ball. got my errands done -- i have a case of 2-buck chuck stashed safely away in the trunk of my car, and i picked up all the free weekly rags to catch up on my cool boston news. and, the BEST thing... i got a box for monkey's ashes. and it's perfect. i can't wait to get back to philly and post a photo of it, because it's so beautiful and so her.
had a great sushi lunch with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], who brought along our friend M (who i'd forgotten to tell i was going to be back in town... bad, BAD me...). i love hanging with them because we always have really interesting conversations, and yesterday was no exception. AND, an interesting little plan has developed... now that [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] is moving back to holland, i said i'd come visit this year... turns out that M and some other folks are planning on going in march, when i have some free time... so we're all going to holland!!!! wheeeeeee!!!!
afternon was manis and pedis with L2, and then we had drinks before J met up with us for dinner. karaoke, alas, was not to be... i was exhausted by 9pm form the running around all day (and the couple of drinks), so L2 and i hung out here at my hotel and went downstairs to whiskey park to have a glass of port on a banquette and try to look cool sitting with all the beautiful people.
it's raining today, ick. i was planning on walking around beacon hill and newbury street. but i have lunch planned with D (yes, he wanted to see me, hrm) and dinner and drinks with the gals from work, so the rain's not keeping me down!!!!
