(no subject)

nothing much new to report. i'm in philly after another lovely 10-hour drive yesterday. i was flying along so well... made it to the bottom of CT in 3 hours, and dumped the ex off as the car was still rolling... got back on the highway, and *thud*. took me 2 hours to go the 10 miles to get over the tappan zee bridge. i wanted to cry. the rest of the drive was almost as bad, people going super-slow and backups every few miles. getting gas took 1/2 hour because of the lines at the pumps. getting a slice of pizza at a rest stop was an equal nightmare -- dozens and dozens of obese, stressed, clueless people all bumping into each other and wandering around as if they were lost, and their awful children expending their pent-up road-trip energy by running all over the place wreaking havoc. i wanted to just teleport myself to philly to be away from these rotten people and the rotten traffic. happy holidays.

mom and i are going to the movies in a couple of hours, to see "ocean's 12". then we're going to whole foods to get a pumpkin pie for tomorrow and some fruit to snack on... i'm actually looking foward to going to the market because i'm bored (i get really antsy when i'm down here). other than that, i have nothing to do until tomorrow. woo.
