catch-up stuff
Jun. 9th, 2004 07:01 amgod, it's going to be a scorcher today. close to 95 degrees and all the sucky boston humidity that comes with it. it's days like this that i dread my job... walking around in a black suit and pantyhose when it's this hot is just unbearable.
yesterday was an interesting day. i thought i'd be done with my sales calls soon after lunch, which was great because i have hours of office work i need to do. instead, one of my co-workers broke her foot crossing the street to a customer's office, and so another teammate and i spent the entire afternoon coordinating stuff to drive her home. we basically had to meet up where she was parked, park my car, then he drove her home while i follwed in her car, then he and i drove back to my car and then i headed home. all told, it took 3 hours. oh well.
blew off some steam last night by going dancing. it was a blast as usual, really nice people and we learned some good moves in the lesson. got a lot of nice compliments on my dancing from some of the guys there. the funny thing is, i danced later in the evening with the instructor, and i sucked. it reminded me that i'm still a beginner and have a hell of a lot to learn!
and oh -- my reign of terror is up as VP of boston mensa. wahoo! no more monthly meetings, no more overeating (i tend to pig out at the monthly board meetings, i think from stress)... it was an interesting ride, but i'm glad it's over.
do i even want to shower today, when i'm going to sweat as soon as i'm out???
