told the b.f. over the weekend about the possibility of my having to move for work. i'd been so reluctant to tell him... obviously i had to at some point, but i just couldn't bring myself to do it. this weekend i was just feeling so sad about it, and he saw something was wrong and asked, and it all came out. we had a really good talk... he was just like, "look, you need to move for work, and you'll come back eventually, so move. if we're doing well, we'll date long-distance... and if we're not doing well, we'll break up." that's the funny thing -- my world can be crashing down around me, and he'll be like, "relax. it's no biggie." i love him and hate him for it. *grin*

our phone stopped working yesterday, and so a repairman has to come out to take care of it. but he's not coming out until TUESDAY, in the narrow window of 8am-6pm. can you believe it??? they can't narrow it down more than 10 hours??? sweet baby jesus. i have to take a whole vacation day, to sit on my ass and wait for the phone guy. classic.

so, i have to get girly for a bit. i've been on a bit of a beauty product spending spree lately... got recommendations on a few things, and others i discovered, that i just have to rave about.

1. DuWop Lip Venom - this is a clear lip gloss that has cinnamon oil and some other stuff in it... basically the cinnamon is strong enough to increase the blood flow to your lips, which plumps 'em up and makes them redder. it also hurts (hence the name). guys will not understand why you wear it, since it causes pain. but god, the stuff makes your lips look amazing (especially the sparkly one).

2. Deep Steep sugar scrub (grapefruit bergamot scent) - wow. I've been using the brown sugar scrub by Fresh, which works really well but costs a small fortune ($65/jar)... discovered this at Sephora and thought i'd comparison shop, especially since it's like $30 cheaper. this smells better, and works better (the sugar is much finer, so it gets more dead skin off without being harsh). I used it on my legs this weekend when I gave myself a pedicure, and they have never felt so soft, ever. seriously.

3. Clean Baby Girl perfume - i tried this on at Sephora several months ago, and couldn't get it out of my mind. i finally bought a bottle, and i can't stop sniffing myself. *grin* all the perfumes by Clean smell fantastic, but the Baby Girl one is especially interesting. it smells like a mixture of laundry detergent, girly hair products, and raspberry gum. you have to smell it to believe it.

4. Shiseido skin care products - i'm totally disloyal to skincare companies, i try something different every time i run out. i don't think i'll ever do that again. a nurse i was talking to a few weeks ago said that her daughter spent a year in japan, and when she came back her skin looked amazing... she said that she used shiseido products while she was there. so i bought the facial cleanser and the moisturizer, and already in 2 weeks it seems that my laugh lines have faded a bit. totally psyched.

and of course, being the beauty product whore that i am, i am always open for anyone's recommendations...
